Newest Intelliskin® adds security and functionality to Samsung Tab Active

How do you take a ruggedized tablet and make it even stronger? Samsung’s Galaxy Tab Active is engineered to provide a powerful computing device in the field or in the warehouse.

Today we’re rolling out our IntelliSkin® with GDS® Technology™ for the Tab Active, which is a molded protective case that integrates a patented charging system that enables the device to charge and transfer data while protecting the tablet from the rigors of repetitive docking and undocking. The Tab Active is already a ruggedized tablet built to withstand exposure to the elements. But the IntelliSkin® adds an extra layer of protection that offers an extra sense of security.

When you wrap your Tab Active with the IntelliSkin® case, you can expand the options you have for charging, docking and even data transfer thanks to RAM Mounts’ lineup of GDS® Technology™ docks.

IntelliSkin® cases are currently available for the Samsung Galaxy S5 and S6, Tab S 8.4 and 10.5, Galaxy Tab 4 7.0 and 10.1, Galaxy Tab A 8.0 and 9.7, Galaxy Tab S2 8.0 and 9.7 and Galaxy Tab Active 8.0.

Lock it in, lock it down

In addition to the ever-expanding desktop charger lineup, RAM is also introducing Tab-Tite™ and Tab-Lock™ vehicle mounts so that you and your team can safely keep the Samsung Tab Active at your finger tips. The RAM vehicle dock with GDS® Technology™ is a spring loaded, quick release cradle that offers a secure fit with easy access to the mounted tablet. The Tab-Lock edition features a key lock to ensure your device stays where you want it.

The integrated GDS® Technology™ platform enables data and charging capabilities to the mounted tablet. Without the need to remove the IntelliSkin® from the device, the user can quickly and efficiently mount the device in the vehicle dock and keep the device charged. The dock is designed to meet the demands of field workers in a variety of applications including transportation, field sales, logistics, manufacturing and much more.

In addition to cross-compatibility for charging and data exchange, GDS® docking stations allow access to keyboards, monitors, speakers, hard drives and other USB devices by plugging in a connectivity hub to the back of the dock. A variety of GDS® docks are available for desk, multiple device charging, vehicle and device locking applications. This provides the flexibility to utilize and dock devices wherever information is needed. The uniform, rugged docking contacts on the bottom of the IntelliSkin® case connect for easy docking, eliminating the possibility of charging port damage.
