RAM® Announces Apple MagSafe Adapter + Mounts

RAM® Mounts, the industry leader in mobile mounting solutions, announces the new RAM® Ball Adapter for Apple MagSafe will be available Summer 2021. With a B size ball attached to the back of the adapter, connect any of RAM®’s B size mounting components to mount your iPhone 12 in just about any passenger vehicle.

A Simple Design

The simple design allows you to press-fit your Apple MagSafe Charger into the open cavity and align with the integrated cable channel—to remove, there is an opening in the back to press a small pin into, pushing the MagSafe out of the adapter. With the B size ball attached on the back to create a complete mount, this adapter doubles as an iPhone 12 holder by aligning the two magnets in the iPhone and the MagSafe charger. Currently, Apple’s new MagSafe technology only applies to the new iPhone 12 models without a case, or with an Apple MagSafe case, however this direction implies the technology is here to stick around for future iPhones.

Apple MagSafe Adapter Available Summer 2021

Coming soon in the Summer of 2021, the RAM® Ball Adapter for Apple MagSafe will be available along with five other mount kits. Also included is a version with the RAM® Snap-Link™ adapter for RAM® Lil-Buddy™ adhesive dash mount.  Due to relying on the magnets to keep the iPhone 12 mounted, it is not recommended to use this mount for off-roading vehicles, or open-cockpit vehicles. These include motorcycles, e-bikes, ATV/UTVs and watercrafts.
